Jack McNamara’s "Coin Snacks with Jack" Debut

This week Rare Collectibles TV launched Coin Snack with Jack, our newest live show, featuring Jack McNamara talking unfiltered about coins. Each new episode will go live on YouTube on Wednesdays at 3PM EST/ Noon PST and feature special topics and hilarious guest interviews.

In the first episode, available now at Facebook.com/RareCollectiblesTV and at YouTube.com/RareCollectiblesTV, the featured topic was the Saint-Gaudens Gold Double Eagle series. Jack somehow managed to interview President Theodore Roosevelt, asking him about how he started the coin renaissance with the Saint-Gaudens Gold Double Eagle. Expect wild and unexpected guests like Teddy Roosevelt in future episodes of Coin Snacks!

After Roosevelt finished telling his tale, Jack went in depth on the story of the 1933 Saint-Gaudens Double Eagle that was never released to the public but somehow ended up in the collection of a King! Whenever you watch Coin Snacks, you’ll always hear an interesting story from Jack, who is drawing on his two decades of knowledge in numismatics.

And it wouldn’t be Coin Snacks without, well, a snack! Here’s the recipe for Colleen’s Crunchy Caramel Corn featured in the first episode -

Ingredients:

2/3 c popcorn kernels
1 c brown sugar
¼ c Karo white syrup
½ c butter
½ teas salt
1 teas baking soda

Directions: Pop popcorn and spread out in large pan. Add brown sugar, karo syrup, butter and salt in sauce pan and bring to boil for 5 minutes stirring constantly. Turn off heat and add baking soda. Mix well and immediately pour over popped popcorn. Stir to coat evenly and place popcorn pan in over. Bake for 40 minutes at 250 – stir after 20 minutes to evenly coat caramel.

In the next episode, Jack will be talking to a special guest about the Larry Miller Collection, which features important coins such as the 1894-S Dime , the 1804 Dollar, and the finest known 1884-S and 1886-O Morgan Dollars from the Jack Lee Collection.
