Theodore Roosevelt: Grouping of Three Songbooks

Description

Ranging in size from 5.5" x 8" to 8" x 11", this grouping features two jugate songbooks and a bifolium of "Songs to be sung at the First National Progressive Convention Beginning Monday, August 5th, 1912." The smallest piece features Theodore Roosevelt and Hiram Johnson on a scarf, titled "Progressive Battle Hymns," and is 63pp. not including the wrappers, while the other jugate features Roosevelt and Charles W. Fairbanks on the Official Songster for 1904. "The Echo Republican Campaign Songster," 34pp. not including wrappers. All of these pieces have minor wear, toning, and light soiling. The jugate booklets maintain their staples at the spines, with the 1904 songbook exhibiting extra wear and toning to the perimeter of the cover and some loss at the bottom right corner. Overall, these are in great condition and would display quite well together.
