The Morgan Dollar, designed by George T. Morgan, was minted from 1878 to 1904 and for one final year in 1921. This set includes 7 different Morgan Dollars that symbolize the first and last years of the mintage of this illustrious silver dollar. With examples from every mint that the Silver Morgan Dollar was struck, this set is the best way to start a Morgan Dollar collection. Starting in 1878, the Morgan Dollar was struck at the Philadelphia, San Francisco, and Carson City Mints. Over the course of the series, the Morgan Dollar was also struck at the New Orleans Mint and the Denver Mint. The 1904-O is drawn from the Morgan Dollar's final year of issue at the New Orleans Mint making it one of the most desirable New Orleans issues. As both the final year of issue and the only Morgan Dollar ever struck at the Denver Mint, the 1921-D is prized by collectors. Each Morgan Dollar in this set is graded in Mint State 63 condition and has an MS63 population of less than 2% of its respective mintage. With such low MS63 populations, each example is considered a Condition Rarity.
