Description
The Lincoln Cent, designed by Victor David Brenner, began its mintage in 1909 and continues to be minted to this day. For the first 49 years of mintage the Lincoln Cent showcased the Wheat Ears reverse, which is a favorite among numismatists. This specific example comes from the first year of issue and is graded in Mint State 65 Red condition. Out of every 1909-P Lincoln Cent struck, significantly less than 1% have been graded in MS65 RD condition. With such a low MS65 RD population, this stunning coin is considered a Condition Rarity.
