Description
- Morgan Silver Dollars were minted from 1878 to 1904 and for one final year in 1921
- Struck in 1904 at the Philadelphia Mint
- After 1904, the Morgan Silver Dollar series was not struck again until nearly two decades later when the US Mint produced the final examples in 1921
- Graded in Choice Mint State 63 condition
- Due to the Pittman Act of 1918, nearly half of all Morgan Dollars ever struck were melted down
- Despite a mintage of over 2 million examples, due to weak strikes and improper handling, only a small percentage of examples have survived to this day in Choice Mint State 63 or finer condition
- Condition Rarity: Significantly less than 1% of the entire mintage is graded in Choice Mint State 63 condition
- Condition Rarity occurs when few coins survive in high grades making them difficult to find
