• This Proof 1901 Liberty Head Gold Eagle is one of the highest graded Ultra Cameo examples available.
• NGC has only certified 6 Ultra Cameo examples, with 2 in PF64 condition, 3 in PF65 condition and the present specimen being the sole finest earning a PF66 grade.
• Early Proof gold is also incredibly difficult to find due to phenomenally low mintages.
• Across the entire Proof Liberty Head Gold Eagle series less than 3,000 examples were struck.
• Only 85 examples of the Proof Liberty Head Gold Eagle were struck in 1901.
