Description
Original WW2 1942 War Bonds Poster. Excellent color and condition. Art by Norman Wilkinson, a famed English marine artist. Wilkinson invented camouflage (Dazzle) painting for the Royal Navy in WW1. The U.S. Treasury issued "Defense Bonds" before the U.S. entry into WWII, and shortly into 1942 the name was changed to "War Bonds". This uncommon poster is from early in our involvement in the war.
