With the push for childhood immunizations on the rise in the late 1970s, the U.S. Department of Health, Education, and Welfare capitalized on the enormous popularity of Star Wars by creating this poster featuring C-3PO and R2-D2 gently reminding parents to check their children's immunization records. The poster was issued to healthcare facilities, and its release coincided with a televised PSA featuring the fan-favorite droids talking (and beeping) about the dangers of preventable diseases such as whooping cough. An unrestored poster with bright color and a clean overall appearance. It may have general signs of use, such as light edge wear, slight creases, or unobtrusive smudges.
