Set of 9: 1908-1915 Indian Gold Half Eagles NGC/PCGS MS62 Varied Mint Marks

Description

The Indian Head Gold Half Eagle, designed by Bela Lyon Pratt, was minted from 1908 to 1916 and once again in 1929. This innovative sunken relief design is the first and only of its kind, making this US coin among the most treasured to ever be struck. This set includes 9 examples of the Indian Head Half Eagle, showcasing the consecutive years it was minted from 1908 to 1915. This set also includes the 1909-D, one of only five issues of this series struck at the Denver Mint. Each example is graded in Mint State 62 condition with populations of less than 2% of their respective mintages. Every Philadelphia struck coin in this set has a mintage of under 1 million, making each of them an Absolute Rarity. As this set represents over one third of the Indian Gold Half Eagle series, making it a dream set for any collector.
