The Indian Head Gold Half Eagle, designed by Bela Lyon Pratt, was minted from 1908 to 1916 and once again in 1929. This innovative sunken relief design is the first and only of its kind, making this US coin among the most treasured to ever be struck. From the first year of issue, this Indian Head Half Eagle was struck at the Philadelphia Mint in 1908 and is graded in Mint State 62 condition. Out of every 1908-P Indian Head Gold Half Eagle struck, less than 1% have been graded in MS62 condition.
