U.S. Mint Delays Sale of 2021 Peace and Morgan Dollars
The U.S. Mint is delaying the release of the upcoming 2021 Morgan and 2021 Peace Dollars. While the new Morgan Dollars were set to go on sale June 1 and June 7, the release has been delayed due in part to web connection errors that customers may have experienced while purchasing the Carson City and New Orleans privy Morgan dollars. In an email to customers, the U.S. Mint cited an increase in demand for silver as to why there was such a high demand for new silver Morgan and Peace dollars. The U.S. Mint will increase web traffic operations to ensure a smooth sale at a later date. While the sale date has not been announced, it is expected to be resolved soon. The delayed releases include 2021 Morgan Dollars struck at San Francisco, Denver, and Philadelphia as well as the 2021 Peace Dollar.
