1907 Ultra High Relief Saint-Gaudens Gold Double Eagle PR58
The $20 Saint-Gaudens Gold Double Eagle, designed by Augustus Saint-Gaudens, was minted from 1907 to 1933. In 1907, the Philadelphia Mint struck only a handful of examples of the Saint-Gaudens Gold Double Eagle in Ultra High Relief. This example has been graded in Proof 58 condition. Ultra High Relief Saint-Gaudens Gold Double Eagles were produced to show the high quality of United States Mint production and it is one of the finest known examples of the issue.
