1895 Morgan Dollar NGC/PCGS PF65 CAM CAC
Proof Morgan Dollars were struck in incredibly low numbers and exclusively for collectors. In 1895, the US Mint did not strike any circulation Morgan Dollars at the Philadelphia Mint. The only way to own a Philadelphia Mint struck Morgan Dollar from 1895 is to acquire a Proof example, such as this stunning coin graded in Proof 65 Cameo condition. Compared to circulation Morgan Dollar issues that had millions of examples struck, just 880 Proof examples were struck in 1895. Out of every 1895 Proof Morgan Dollar struck, only 37 have been graded in Proof 65 Cameo condition. As the only year that the Morgan Dollar was not struck for circulation at the Philadelphia Mint, this coin is truly unique. With such a minuscule mintage and so few in PF65 CAM condition, this coin is not only an Absolute and Condition Rarity, but it is also one of the finest known of the issue.
