The Morgan Dollar, designed by George T. Morgan, was minted from 1878 to 1904 and once again in 1921. This example was struck at the Philadelphia Mint in 1890 and is graded in Mint State 65+ Deep Prooflike condition. Only the first coins struck off of freshly polished dies showcase Deep Prooflike cameo contrast which makes them highly sought-after by collectors. The Everest seal is only awarded to coins that Rick Tomaska has personally deemed to display the highest quality cameo contrast. Out of every 1890-P Morgan Dollar struck, only 1 has been graded in MS65+ DPL condition. With no other 1890-P Morgan Dollar in Deep Prooflike condition graded higher, this example is not only a tremendous Condition Rarity, but also among the finest known of the issue.
