1879-CC Morgan Silver Dollar MS63
Designed by George T. Morgan, the Morgan Dollar was struck from 1878 to 1921. In 1879, the Carson City Mint struck just 756,000 examples, with only 1,585 achieving the grade of Mint State 63. Morgan dollars bearing the CC mintmark have always commanded a premium, due to their low mintages and the mystique surrounding the Carson City Mint, making high-quality examples such as this coin high-demand collector’s items.
