1856 Flying Eagle Cent NGC PF65








The Flying Eagle Cent, designed by James Barton Longacre, was minted from 1856 to 1858. In 1856, the Philadelphia Mint struck 1,500 examples of the Flying Eagle Cent. This example has been graded in Proof 65 condition. Out of all 1856-P Flying Eagle Cents, only 90 have been graded in PF65 condition with just 17 finer known examples. With so few examples graded higher than this one, this stunning coin is not only a Condition Rarity, but is also among the finest known examples of the issue.
