There is a reason I selected this die as the first 1950 cameo die to appear in my first book. The earliest strikes are simply stunning cameo specimens, the finest for the 1950 proof Franklin, displaying a level of matching snow-white frost on the obverse and reverse devices, complemented by the deepest mirrors one will find on a cameo 1950!
This coin is in a class by itself. The next highest grade example I have ever handled off this top die is a PF 66+. This wondercoin is a full grade point higher! PF 67 PLUS!
This breathtaking, stunning 1950, the key date in the series in CAMEO condition, is absolutely irreplaceable. Over the past nearly 40 years, I have handled only 5 or 6 early strikes off this top die. A few graded PF 64. A couple graded PF 65. And then there was the miraculous PF 66+, which until now was the king of the hill!
