1907 Rolled Edge Indian Head Gold Eagle NGC MS67+ Star

The 1907 Rolled Edge Indian Head Gold Eagle is infamous for its rarity, tied for the most desirable with the 1933 final-year-of-issue. While 31,500 examples of the 1907 Rolled Edge Indian Head Eagle were initially struck, all but 50 were melted down at the US Mint. Of these 50, there are about 40 known to have survived to this day. With an official mintage of only 50 examples, this issue has the lowest mintage of the series. This specific example is one of two in the highest grade known, Mint State 67+ condition. Already a juggernaut in rarity, as this is the finest known, it is undeniably one of the rarest coins produced by the US Mint.
