While it was struck over the period of 35 years, the Indian Princess Gold Three Dollar coin was consistently struck with low mintages. Only 1,120 examples of the 1854 Princess Gold coin were struck at the Dahlonega Mint. Yes, this is one of the few coins to be struck at the short-lived Dahlonega Mint, which struck coins in Georgia from 1838 to 1861! Between PCGS and NGC, only about 243 examples of this issue is known. With only 47 coins graded in About Uncirculated 55 condition and just 46 graded higher, this coin is truly one of the finest known of the issue.
