- Early examples from the San Francisco Mint, like the 1881-S, are known for their strong strikes and incredible luster
- The 1902-O is highly sought-after as it was struck at the New Orleans Mint
- Due to the Pittman Act of 1918, nearly half of all Morgan Dollars were melted down, making Brilliant Uncirculated examples like these difficult to acquire
- Only about 2% of all Morgans have survived in Brilliant Uncirculated condition
