Released on May 25, 1977, 20th Century Fox’s “Star Wars” started one of the most beloved franchises of all time. This unique one sheet style D by Drew Struzan and Charles White III was printed in 1978 for the re-release of this iconic film following its immense success at the box office. The famous Artist Drew Struzan has created iconic posters for over 150 films including those in the Star Wars series, the Indiana Jones series, The Muppet Movie and Back to the Future. This particular poster was created by Struzen early in his career, making it among the most sought-after that he has produced. Measuring 40” by 60”, this poster has a small gouge in the upper left background. Generally, posters of this size are challenging to preserve and exhibit strong folds and tears. This particular example, however, is one of the few that has managed to be kept in stunning Very Fine- condition.
