The Franklin Half Dollar, designed by John R. Sinnock, was minted from 1948 to 1963. The Proof issues of the Franklin Half Dollar would not commence until two years later in 1950. This set includes each Philadelphia Mint struck Proof example from 1950 to 1953, each graded in Proof 65 condition. Recognizing the quality of these stunning coins, they has been placed in the NGC exclusive “We the People” holders which are reserved for coins deemed to exhibit the highest quality luster and eye appeal for their year and grade after being personally inspected by Rick Tomaska, who has hand-signed the label himself. Early Proof Franklin Half Dollars have incredibly low mintages, with the highest in this set at 128,800 examples. With minuscule mintages and an even lower Signature Series PF65 population, each coin is an Absolute and Condition Rarity. To increase your numismatic knowledge, this set comes with “A Guide Book to Franklin & Kennedy Half Dollars” signed by Rick Tomaska himself!
