The Walking Liberty Half Dollar, designed by Adolph Weinman, was minted from 1916 to 1947. This set of 20 Walking Liberty Half Dollars, each graded in Mint State 65 condition, represents the final 20 issues of this iconic series. The Walking Liberty Half Dollars struck at the end of the series are among the most popular to collect due to their mintage during World War II. America joined the war effort in 1941 and continued fighting until the war ended. Adolph A. Weinman's Walking Liberty obverse is considered one of the most inspiring American designs. On the obverse, Lady Liberty beckons hopefully to the rising sun even during the dark days of WWII. Each coin in this set has an MS65 population less than 1% of their respective mintages. With such low Mint State 65 populations, every coin in this set is considered a Condition Rarity.
