In 2021, the U.S. Mint brought back Anthony de Francisci's illustrious design to honor 100 years since the first issue of the Peace Dollar.  This set includes one 1921 Peace Dollar graded in Mint State 63 condition and one 2021 Peace Dollar graded in perfect Mint State 70 condition.  Struck in  .999 fine  silver, the 2021 High Relief Peace Dollar brings back Anthony de Francisci's design using modern techniques to show Lady Liberty  in  the highest quality.  The  2021 High Relief Peace Dollar has the lowest mintage of the series with 200,000 examples. With no other Peace Dollar issue being graded in flawless condition, this is the  first time  collectors will have an opportunity to acquire a Peace Dollar in perfect Mint State 70 condition.  Minted one hundred years earlier, the 1921 Peace Dollar comes from the only year that the original Peace Dollar series was solely struck in high relief.  These two issues are the only two High Relief Peace Dollars ever produced. To tie it all together, the  2021 Peace Dollar  will be housed in the NGC exclusive First Day of Issue holders. First Day of Issue labels indicate that a coin was purchased on the coin's first day issuance and sent to the grading service within 24 hours.
