1921-P High Relief Peace Dollar NGC/PCGS MS63

Description

The Peace Dollar, designed by Anthony de Francisci, was minted from 1921 to 1928 and once again from 1934 to 1935. Created to honor the restoration of peace to the world after World War I concluded, this is one of America's most renowned coins. Out of all Peace Dollar issues, 1921 was the only year that the illustrious Silver Peace Dollar series was struck solely in high relief. Due to the difficulties of producing high relief coins at the time, the Peace Dollar was quickly changed to a low relief design in 1922.  This 1921  High Relief  Peace Dollar  was struck at the Philadelphia Mint and is graded in  Mint State 63 condition. Out of  every  1921 High Relief Peace Dollar struck,  less than 1%  have been graded in MS63 condition between NGC and PCGS.
