Included in this set of stunning Gold Indian Head Quarter Eagles is every issue of the series except the illusive 1911-D. Each of the fourteen gold coins included in this are graded between Extremely Fine (XF) and About Uncirculated (AU). The designer of this coin, Bela Lyon Pratt, was a student of the legendary sculptor and coin designer, Augustus Saint-Gaudens. The Indian Head Quarter Eagle marks that first time in U.S. history that a coin was struck in sunken relief. Sunken relief means that the devices and legends of the coin are struck below the surface of the coin. This is opposed to standard relief, where design elements are struck above the surface of the coin.
The fourteen Indian Head Quarter Eagles included in this set are the following: 1908, 1909, 1910, 1911, 1912, 1913, 1914, 1914-D, 1915, 1925-D, 1926, 1927, 1928, 1929
