The Kennedy Half Dollar, designed by Frank Gasparro and Gilroy Roberts, began its mintage in 1964 and continues to be produced to this day. Before 1970, all circulation Kennedy Half Dollars were struck using silver, making this 1966-P Kennedy one of the few that were struck from silver. Out of the entire mintage of 1966 Kennedy Half Dollars, only 18 have been graded in Mint State 67 condition between both NGC and PCGS. That`s what we call Conditional Rarity! To tie it all together, this Kennedy has been given Rick Tomaska`s Everest Seal of Approval. This illustrious Everest Seal is only given to coins that Rick has personally inspected and deemed to have the highest quality eye appeal for their year and grade.
