Beginning in 2001, the West Point Mint took over responsibility for the production of a majority of the American Silver Eagle series. To keep up with demand for the ASE during the ongoing pandemic, mintage of 2021 Type 1 American Silver Eagles has been split between the West Point, San Francisco, and Philadelphia Mints. With a production limitation of 495,000 coins, these 2021 (P) Emergency Production ASE's will be one of the lowest mintage issues in the series. These exclusive ASE's do not depict a mintmark on the coin and will be labelled as ''Emergency Production'' by NGC. Only a fraction of the total 2021 (P) mintage will receive this pedigree due to the process required by the grading services. This specific First Release 2021 (P) Type 1 American Silver Eagle was struck at the Philadelphia Mint and has been graded perfect Mint State 70. To add to the rarity of these coins, each one will come with the RCTV exclusive Reagan Pop Art holder that is hand-signed by John Mercanti himself!
