1883 No Cents Liberty Head Nickel NGC/PCGS MS65

Description

The Liberty Nickel, designed by Charles E. Barber, was minted from 1883 to 1912. Out of all the Barber coinage, the Liberty Nickel is the only denomination that Charles Barber gave a unique design. This first-year-of-issue Liberty Nickel was struck in 1883 at the Philadelphia Mint and has been graded in Mint State 65 condition. Early in 1833, the reverse only featured a ''V'' to signify that the denomination was five cents. The word ''CENTS'' was added by the end of 1883 to prevent confusion. Out of all 1883 Liberty Nickels, significantly less than 1% have been graded in Mint State 65 condition, making this stunning example a Condition Rarity.
