Description
- Liberty Head Gold Double Eagles were minted from 1850 to 1907
- Struck in 1855 at the San Francisco Mint
- From the Type 1 variety, which features no motto on the reverse, and was only struck for the first 16 years of the series, making it notoriously difficult to find in high grades
- Contains nearly one ounce of gold
- Only 1,416 examples known in any grade from PCGS
- Graded in About Uncirculated 50 condition
