The Franklin Half Dollar, designed by John R. Sinnock, was minted from 1948 to 1963. The Proof issues of the Franklin Half Dollar would not commence until two years later in 1950. The eight issues included in this set make up over half of the entire series of Proof Franklin Half Dollars, and each one is graded in Proof 67 condition. This set includes the final eight proof Franklin Half Dollars: the 1956 Type 2, 1957, 1958, 1959, 1960, 1961, 1962, and 1963 Franklin Half Dollars. The 1956 and 1958 Proof Franklin Half Dollars have minuscule mintages of 669,384 examples and 875,652 examples respectively, making each of them an Absolute Rarity. Recognizing the quality of this stunning coin, these Franklin Half Dollars have been placed in NGC exclusive ''We the People'' holders which are reserved for coins deemed to exhibit the highest quality luster and eye appeal for their year and grade after being personally inspected by Rick Tomaska, who has hand-signed the label himself. Each of these Franklin Half Dollars have PF67 populations significantly less than 1% of their respective mintages. With such low PF67 populations, each of these coins is a Condition Rarity. To increase your numismatic knowledge, a copy of Rick Tomaska's informative and comprehensive "A Guide Book of Franklin & Kennedy Half Dollars'' is included with this set.
