The Kennedy Half Dollar, designed by Gilroy Roberts and Frank Gasparro, began its mintage in 1964 and continues to be struck to this day. In the first few years of mintage, the Kennedy Half Dollar was struck for circulation at both the Philadelphia and Denver Mints. This set includes circulation examples from the Philadelphia Mint dated 1964 to 1967 and from the Denver Mint dated 1968 and 1969, all in Mint State 66 condition. Among these coins are collector favorites such as the first year of issues 1964-D and 1964-P and 1968-D, the first year that the series was solely struck for circulation in Denver. Each of the 7 examples included in this set include Rick Tomaska's exclusive NGC Signature Series label. These renowned labels are only given to Kennedy Half Dollars that Rick Tomaska has inspected and deemed to exhibit the highest quality luster and eye appeal for their date and grade. With so few examples graded in MS66 condition, each of these coins is an incredible Condition Rarity.
