Franklin Half Dollar

The Franklin Half Dollar, designed by John R. Sinnock, was issued from 1948-1963. Over the course of the coin’s history, it was struck at the Philadelphia, Denver, and San Francisco mints. On the obverse is a portrait of Benjamin Franklin that was modeled after a bust created by Jean-Antoine Houdon. The reverse contains an image of the iconic Liberty Bell.
