Anna Held, a Polish stage performer and singer on Broadway, caught the eye of impresario Flo Ziegfeld in 1896 during her performance tour in London. She later traveled with Ziegfeld to New York City becoming his common law wife and influenced the format for what would eventually become the famous Ziegfeld Follies of 1907. The promotional print offered here was printed in the San Francisco Call, Volume 93, Number 70 in 1903, and predates her time with Ziegfeld featuring Held along with her chorus troupe, the Sadie Girls. An unrestored print with good color and an overall presentable appearance. It may have edge wear, creases, tears, smudges, and visible stains.
