Description
- The American Silver Eagle has been a numismatic icon since it was first struck in 1986
- In 2001, the West Point Mint took over production of the American Silver Eagle coin from the Philadelphia Mint
- However, due to the emergency closure of the West Point Mint in April 2020, production of the coins was moved back to the Philadelphia Mint for a short two-week span
- During this time, a limited 240,000 American Silver Eagles were struck, making this issue one of the lowest mintage ASE’s to ever be produced
- Due to the strict grading standards, only a fraction of those coins will be pedigreed to the Philadelphia Mint
- These limited production ASE’s do not depict a mintmark on the coin and will be labelled as “Emergency Issue” by PCGS
- Graded in perfect Mint State 70 condition
