In 1895, no Morgan Dollars were struck for circulation at the Philadelphia Mint
Between the New Orleans and San Francisco Mints, less than 1 million coins were struck in 1895
With so few coins struck in 1895, almost all of them were used in commerce until they were circulated to death
These silver dollars were used over and over again, making high grade examples incredibly difficult to find
As a testament to that fact, just 339 examples of this issue are certified in Mint State condition
Of the only 450,000 coins struck, less than one half of 1% are graded in AU58 condition
