Sheet of 32: $1 2009 Federal Reseve Notes

Description

The first $1 Federal Reserve Notes were issued in 1963 and continue to feature the portrait of George Washington on the face of the note while the back displays both sides of the Great Seal. $1 Sheets of 32 produced before 2014, like this 2009 example, first go through the plate printing process which prints the portraits, vignettes, scrollwork, numerals, and lettering. After the sheets are completely analyzed and approved they then receive two serial numbers, Federal Reserve seal, the Department of Treasury seal, and the Federal Reserve identification numbers. Uncut sheets produced after the 1988 series use serial numbers beginning above 96000000.
