French Model 1786 Tulle Navy Pistol

• A very honest Tulle Manufactured French Model 1786 Navy Pistol which has been converted to percussion likely in the 1840s.
• It has a deep Tulle stamp in the wood stock with the number 723 appearing on the side of the barrel and the stock.
• It has an overall brown patina on the barrel and the lock plate has some hallmarks and script writing which is barely legible.
• The wood on the stock is in good condition showing a mellow tone and some handling use commensurate with age and use.
• This appears to be an arsenal conversion from flint and the action is in very good condition locking up nice and tight the way it should.
• The bore measures approximately 70 caliber.
• Has a lanyard loop present on the butt, and the brass furniture has a nice mellow patina throughout. Overall a very nice honest French military pistol attributed to naval use.
