Lincoln Cent1909-PRESENT

The Lincoln Cent, designed by Victor D. Brenner, has been minted from 1909 to present day at the Philadelphia, Denver, and San Francisco mints. The obverse, designed by Brenner, is a profile of President Lincoln that has been shown on every cent from 1909 to date. The reverse has featured three designs over the years. From 1909-1958, the reverse featured Brenner’s wheat ears. Frank Gasparro’s design of the Lincoln Memorial graced the Lincoln Cent until 2008. 2009 showcased four separate reverse designs of Lincoln’s life, and in 2010, Lyndall Bass’ shield reverse.
