This vibrant red 1948 Lincoln Cent is just as stunning as the day it was struck at the San Francisco Mint. In 1909 Victor D. Brenner designed this the 100th anniversary commemorative cent for Abraham Lincoln`s birth. This coin is from the Variety 1 bronze type which features two stylized ears of wheat. Early Lincoln Cents are composed of 95% copper and 5% tin and zinc. Struck in San Francisco this spectacular 1948 example is in MS66RD condition.
