U.S. Mint Releases Video Honoring New American Eagle Designs
To honor both the 35th Anniversary of the American Eagle Coin program and the new designs on the American Gold Eagle and American Silver Eagle, the United States Mint has released a video with comments from designers and Mint officials. Both John Mercanti and Miley Frost, designers of the American Silver Eagle reverse and the American Gold Eagle reverse, praise the decisions of the U.S. Mint to change the designs and the choice of design, as can be seen in the video below.
