Set of 5: 1881-CC – 1885-CC GSA Morgan Dollars NGC MS67
The 1885 and 1881 issues of the Carson City Morgan Dollar are the lowest mintages struck at that mint with 228,000 and 296,000 examples respectively. Even compared to every other mint, those are among the lowest Morgan Dollar mintages ever. With 5 Carson City issues represented in this set, they make up over one third of the issues struck at the Mint of the Wild West. Morgan Dollars graded in Mint State condition make up less than 2% of the entire mintage. These examples are only available in such a high grade as they were part of the GSA Hoard. Each of these coins are just some of the small percentage pedigreed to the GSA Hoard and graded in MS67, making every single one of them a Condition Rarity.
