Looking Forward to 2021 Numismatics on Coin Snacks with Jack

In this week’s Coin Snacks with Jack, Jack looked back at 2020 and into the future of numismatics in 2021. Each new episode will go live on YouTube on Wednesdays at 3PM EST/ Noon PST and feature special topics and informative interviews.

In the third episode, available now at YouTube.com/RareCollectiblesTVJack went over some of the best coin news of 2020 and what to look forward to in 2021Thanks to the 1921 Silver Dollar Coin Anniversary Act, the Morgan Dollar and Peace Dollar will return! Celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the end of the Morgan Dollar and the beginning of the Peace Dollar, these coins will not contain less than 90% silver. Jack also revealed his thoughts on the redesign of the American Silver Eagle, ending John Mercanti’s heraldic eagle reverse.

Looking back, Jack reminisced about the discovery of the First Day of Issue 1964 Kennedy Half Dollars. A historic find, the unopened bag of 1964 Kennedy Half Dollars were certified by NGC as First Day of Issue due to a label on the bag reading “Kennedy Halves, Mar 19, 1964.” In another 2020 surprise, production of American Silver Eagles moved from the West Point Mint to the Philadelphia Mint. This created a new Emergency Production ASE with no mintmark, coming from the Philadelphia and San Francisco Mints.

In the next episode, Jack will be interviewing the 12th Chief Engraver of the Mint, John Mercanti! Don’t miss the show live on Wednesdays at 3PM EST/Noon PST and be sure to subscribe to YouTube.com/RareCollectiblesTV so you don’t miss an episode!
