The Morgan Dollar, designed by George T. Morgan, was minted intermittently from 1878 to 1921. In 1879, the Carson City Mint struck 756,000 examples of the Morgan Dollar. This example has been graded in Mint State 64 condition. Out of all 1879-CC Morgan Dollars, only 1125 have been graded in MS64 condition with just 252 finer known examples. With so few examples graded higher than this one, this stunning coin is not only a Condition Rarity, but is also among the finest known examples of the issue.
