This copper Poseidon example was struck over 2,200 years ago in Syracuse, Sicily and is graded in Fine condition. Designed under the rule of Hieron II, circa 275 to 215 BC, this coin was uniquely hand struck onto a copper planchet. On the obverse of this coin is an image of the god of sea, Poseidon.
