The America the Beautiful Washington Quarter series began in 2010 and will continue until at least 2021. These stunning coins depict America's national parks on the reverse while the obverse still showcases the bust of our first President, George Washington. The Acadia National Park Quarter was designed by Barbara Fox and depicts the first National Park east of the Mississippi. In 2012 the Philadelphia Mint struck 25,400 Acadia National Park Quarters in 5 ounces of .999 silver. This specific example has been graded a near flawless Mint State 69 Deep Mirror Proof-Like condition by PCGS. These coins feature no mintmark and were only made available initially to coin dealers.
