19th Century Stirrup Hilt Militia Cavalry or Mounted Artillery Sword

• A very nice example of a early 19th century militia sword attributed to use by mounted artillery and cavalry as early as the Seminole Wars, Mexican War and also the Civil War.
• An honest example with brass and leather scabbard in need of some repair seperating below the middle mount, and drag seperated mount but all present.
• Showing wear commensurate with age and use.
• Blade has traces of gold adornement present and retains a wonderful bulbous carved grip.
• Overall, a very nice honest sword in need of some TLC on the scabbard.
