1953-S Franklin Half Dollar NGC MS66+ FBL We the People Label

The Franklin Half Dollar, designed by John R. Sinnock, was minted from 1948 to 1963. This Franklin Half Dollar was struck at the San Francisco Mint in 1953 and has been graded in Mint State 66+ condition with Full Bell Lines designation. An FBL, or Full Bell Lines, designation is indicative of a Franklin with a nearly flawless strike that exhibits the highest quality of design elements. Recognizing the rarity of this stunning coin, this 1953-S Franklin Half Dollar has been designated an Everest selection which is reserved for coins featuring the most stunning eye appeal for its year and grade after being personally inspected by Rick Tomaska. Out of every 1953-S Franklin struck, only 2 examples have been graded in MS66+ FBL condition and no examples have been graded higher. With no examples graded higher than MS66+ FBL, this 1953-S Franklin Half Dollar is not only a tremendous Condition Rarity but also one of the finest known examples of the issue.

To tie it all together, this coin will come with the NGC exclusive “We the People” holder, which is a collaborative effort between Rick Tomaska and NGC. These renowned holders are only given to Franklin Half Dollars that Rick Tomaska has inspected and deemed to exhibit the highest quality luster and eye appeal for their year and grade.
