The Buffalo Nickel, designed by James Earle Fraser, was minted from 1913 to 1938 and stands out as one of the most iconic Nickel designs to be created in U.S. history. This specific Buffalo Nickel  was struck at the Denver Mint in 1938 and has been graded in Mint State 67+ condition. As the final year of issue for the Buffalo Nickel, examples of the 1938-D Buffalo Nickel are highly sought-after by numismatists across the country. Out of all 1938-D Buffalo Nickels struck, only 501 have been graded in Mint State 67+ condition with just 122 graded higher. With such a low  MS67+ population, this 1938-D Buffalo Nickel is known as a tremendous Condition Rarity.
