Description
  • Morgan Silver Dollars were minted from 1878 to 1921
  • Struck in 1881 at the Carson City Mint of the Wild West
  • Carson City Morgan Silver Dollars were only struck for 13 issues
  • The Carson City Mint has the lowest total mintage of Morgan Dollars, even lower than the one-year-only Denver issue
  • Graded in Very Choice Mint State 66 Deep Mirror Prooflike condition
  • Deep Mirror Prooflike, or DMPL, condition indicates a coin struck from a freshly polished die that exhibits the most desirable mirrored fields and frosted designs
  • Between NGC and PCGS, 19,223 coins are graded in Very Choice Mint State 64
  • MS64DMPL examples, however, are limited to just a minuscule 848 examples
  • 1881-CC Deep Mirror Prooflike examples are 22 times rarer than their standard counterparts
  • Condition Rarity occurs when so few coins survive in high grades that they are difficult to find
